Amanda Kerdahi M. (EGY-USA)
Amanda Kerdahi M. uses video, installation, and performance to explore the connections between object and subject. She is interested in the question “who is moving whom?” Her work explores objects whose compound weight animates a human subject; thus Kerdahi’s work confronts the power relations between human subjects and material objects in quotidian rituals.
Amanda Kerdahi Matt is an Egyptian-American artist currently living in Cairo, Egypt. In 2005, she obtained a BFA in photography and a BS in psychology from the University of Houston, and in 2013, she completed an MFA from Transart Institute.
